This week gets very exciting in the computer lab. After discussing what computer programming is, the students had to program me to do a simple task, like open the classroom door. After walking over students, crashing into the door, turning around forever, the students learned that you have to break down every task perfectly for the computer. The students proceeded to program in the Minecraft world provided by the Hour of Code. The exciting part was working with a partner. Getting through the levels of code with a partner and working together provided great learning opportunities. Your students can continue this programming at home by going to www.code.org
