Blog Article Printed about Dusty!

I attended a Technical Education class this week at The Eighth Floor and the teacher asked us students to consider being guest bloggers.  I have enjoyed using my blog in the classroom about my new kitten, Dusty, and decided to write an article about using Dusty's blog.  Click on the link below to read more about it.

Excel Design Projects!

Students in 1st through 4th grade take time to have fun in Excel by creating their own design using cells that have been formatted to be squares.  Designs include puppies, trains, sports cars, flags, names and even Minecraft characters.  We will advance to data entry, graphs and charts next week as we gather Thanksgiving food information.

Spreadsheet Presidential Predictions!

Students in both Tech Ed classes used Excel spreadsheets to calculate the electoral college votes and predict who they think will become our president on November 6th.  Using the internet helped students see which way each state is leaning.  Good luck to both presidential candidates.

Students use Pink Paper

Floating around the lab are little strips of pink paper.  Students in Kindergarten and up are using these strips to divide their keyboard.  This division encourages younger students to use both the right and left hand while playing games aimed at finding the ABC's.
